Road Greetings from the Finger Lakes Region!
Updated: Oct 6, 2020
We visited an off the beaten path farmstead that we found through Harvest Hosts on our way to the campground at Keuka Lake in the Fingers Lakes region. It turned out to be such a pleasant stay. Jane and David were spledid hosts, which were a pleasure to speak with! They greeted us as we pulled up to their home from their extended bluestone driveway. We parked our Travel Trailer on top of the hill that sits in front of their home. They truly 'live off the land' and have some of what comes from it for sale. We purchased some veggies, home made soaps and their very own pure maple syrup and a container of red currant jam. Our stay was cozy, the stars were plentyful and we were treated to seeing scores of hummingbirds that often visit their several fuchsia plants hanging on the porch. We enjoyed walking around their gardens and seeing their farm animals too. Our hosts are also running a bed & breakfast Dean Lane which is a lovely property. It is a definitely place to revisit when we decide to head back to Keuka & Seneca Lakes.
